Enlisting Volunteers

Travelers Aid Philadelphia is enlisting volunteers to provide information and assistance to passengers and visitors at the 30th Street Amtrak Train Station.  Volunteers will staff the Travelers Aid Passengers Assistance Booth and serve as the City’s Emissaries, welcoming travelers and new comers to Philadelphia.  Volunteers will provide visitors with information about the City, directions to attractions and points of interest, and, general assistance in the case of an emergency.

Volunteers are being recruited to fill 2 to 4 hour shifts.

Initial Operating Hours

Monday – Friday:           9 A.M. to 5 P.M;

Saturdays and Sundays  10 A.M. to 4 P.M. 

 Qualifications: Volunteers must be energetic, outgoing, people oriented, and knowledgeable about the City of Philadelphia, and have strong verbal communication skills.  Volunteers must complete a criminal background screening and child abuse clearance. 

Training: Volunteers participate in a volunteer orientation session and ongoing training will be provided.
